A great place to go on a summer day is the Santa Monica Pier. There are two parts to it...
First, the rides. The pier is the perfect place for a fun day with the family or with friends. The front of the pier is great for little children but as you walk further back, you get to the fun rides. The scrambler and the roller coaster are lots of fun and you can enjoy a beautiful view on the ferris wheel.
Second, the beach. You can take a nice walk on the sand, swim in the ocean, tan, and watch the beautiful sunset.
The sun's reflection on the glistening water is absolutely stunning!
The Santa Monica Pier is a great day trip and I would recommend it to tourists and everyone living in Los Angeles!
